Free game and account terms

The service and operator

Jon Bassett, trading as The Printed Secret, operates this service. Contact support@theprintedsecret.com for account or game help. These terms cover free Apprentice play, optional accounts and approved personal-print downloads; they do not create a paid order or access to unreleased games.

The free experience

The Apprentice’s Test is a free browser mystery. No printer, purchase or activation code is required; you need an internet connection and browser. Other games remain in development and are not included in this release.

Optional accounts — ages 16+

You must be 16 or over to create or use an account. Confirm this and accept these terms before registration or Google sign-in. We do not ask for your date of birth. Use only an account you are authorised to access, keep sign-in details private and tell support if you suspect misuse.

You can play as a guest. Guest saves stay in the same browser/device and can be removed by clearing browser storage. Accounts save Apprentice progress across devices. Registration does not subscribe you to marketing. Our privacy notice explains how account and game data are used.

Sign-in and account help

Google sign-in and email registration/recovery are offered when the service enables them. Email registration requires verification. A verification/reset request does not guarantee mailbox delivery; check your inbox and junk folder or contact support. Google linking may require a fresh sign-in.

Email support@theprintedsecret.com to close an account or request access, correction or deletion of its data. We may need to verify ownership. The privacy notice explains deletion and backup handling; there is no instant account-deletion control.

Personal printing

The optional Apprentice sigil and Codex files are free personal-print downloads under the licence and guidance supplied with each edition. Completion reveals them in the Library; a known file URL does not require an account or purchase. Use released files and their guidance. Colour is optional where single-colour and multicolour choices are supplied.

Creating an account does not grant commercial printing or redistribution rights. A download is a digital file, not a shipped kit. To use it you need a suitable 3D printer, or a maker to print for you. Printing is optional for the Apprentice browser game.

Fair use and availability

Do not access another person’s account, interfere with the service or bypass security. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to investigate misuse or protect the service. Contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

Maintenance, updates or interruptions may occur; we cannot promise uninterrupted access or permanent saves. Material account-service/terms changes will be explained on the website. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable law.
